Yesterday was our company dinner to welcome the New Kid On The Block.
We went to Savoy, a homey, delicious and always-crowded pizza joint in Naka-meguro. It is also one of the spots listed in the soon-to-be-unveiled Tokyo City Guide by me & co., but more on that later. Savoy has only two types of pizzas--Margherita and Marinara--and the restaurant is packed lunch and dinner with customers craving the chewy crust, hot melted mozzerella and dashes of salt crystals that find their way into every other bite. Yum!
And... It's A Small Tokyo happened here too! The woman at the table across from ours was one of the veterans of the Celebrity-Mom Italian Cooking Class formerly in Setagaya. This womans says she goes to Savoy at least once a week! If a Celebrity-Mom says so, it must be that good.

Where in Nakameguro! Tell, tell! I have to go there for evening lessons sometimes and its always nice to have a new place to eat.
Incidentally, have you ever been to a Mexican place there? I think that is the one called Junkadelic. It's a bit hard to find and only open for dinner, but it would be fun too. I hear there's also an Ethiopian place in Nakameguro, but I have yet to clap eyes on it.
I love Junkadelic! I do not know the Ethiopian place however. Savoy is soooo good. You must go. Until the BCGE (Best City Guide Ever) is ready (no modesty for me, thanks) here is some info to get you there. It is just a 3 minute walk from the station, tucked inside one of the alleys parallel to that shopping area-section is with Presce, Shinsei and Starbucks. On the left side of the station, if you are facing the station entrance. There's a map if you follow this link:
