Thanks to
Jack Flanders (a Christmas gift from mama),
my walk... no, no my
journey home was completely surreal.
Dreams of Bali is my introduction to this audio adventure series, and it can get
really scary. I don't know if all Jack Flanders are scary, but this one is, and in a way that
I love because it plays with your
miiiiiind. In short, Jack's friend Tiffany is possessed by the devil. And she can become hysterical with her boyfriend and make Jack feel uncomfortable, although she is the one who invited him to Bali, where she lives and where the story takes place. Also involves a jealous native girl-friend. It's kind of like... It's kind of like
Somerset Maughm on CRACK! Yes, I think that really about describes it! And Somerset Maughm is my
faaaaaavorite.
Dreams of Bali is not a horror story, it's an everyday-life story (well, you know... when compared to a horror story). Good dialogue and great sound effects/bgm. It takes place in your mind, where the props, costumes and set are of surprisingly high calibre. I really recommend it, you!! YES!! Extremely well produced and well done.
Jack Flanders is the Indie Jones of audio!

If you like Jack Flanders, may I recommend this most awesome and weird musical podcast that always has a little Tropical Hot Dog Night mixed in. It can be just as strange and rad (most of the time) as the JF series:

Thanks! I'll check it out.
wow, I'm so glad you like my gift.
I ADORE the Jack Flanders stories. They are superb.
