HONG KONG
I am in Hong Kong for almost 2 weeks, chillaxing and thinking and doing projects non-ministry-oriented. (Although here, I can watch the ministry channel 24/7. Kinda cool.)
Nothing too exciting, but here are some photos for you.
Causeway Bay. I love the name. 銅鑼灣. Copper Gong Bay? Copper Basin Bay?
Recluse Bay, a BBQ at the yacht club with friends old and new. Identical twins involved.
I love taxis here because they are inexpensive, know exactly where they are going, and do not (to the best of my knowledge) rip you off. In Japan they are expensive, require specific directions for getting from Point A to Point B (kinda defeats the purpose of a 'taxi' doncha think...) and will sometimes take the longer route.
Cakes for sale at a subway station.
Meeting a friend for Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula. Foggy due to extreme humidity!
Yes, it was delicious. But they don't give you different kinds of tea like they do at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo.
Drinks and din din at Aqua.
I love cucumber cocktails especially in the summer.
Lasers from atop skyscrapers light up the sky every night. A tourist captures the moment. (I capture her moment.)
Most of last week was cloudy/rainy, but this weekend was bright and perfectly summery. I will share more photos soon!
