i think shrines are always shinto, temples are buddhist. pretty sure this is a shrine.it's the one right behind my office in kayabacho!!! i love it.i think i may have studied them in religion classes at hna.
those white paper things on the building mean it's a Shinto shrine. A big statue of Buddha inside means it's a Buddhist temple!
